“The Pete Conrad Spirit of Innovation Award is both the world’s premier student prize for innovative aerospace concepts and the premier educational tool for exciting and involving students in the rapidly growing personal spaceflight industry. Not only are the prizes impressive for the winners, but the educational benefits of competing are enormous. The award creates a new level of excitement and dynamic participation in all fields of science and technology. It also provides an unparalleled opportunity to connect the most innovative students with the companies and entrepreneurs who are leading the way in opening the space frontier to the world.” (http://space.xprize.org/x-prize-cup/conrad_award/)

I am entering this competition as part of a team from Milken. I think that we have a good chance of winning because we are team id 17 (and 17 pwns).

No more cell phones

September 16th, 2007 | Category: Anouncements, Cell Phones, Hardware, Life, Politics, Stuff

A new law signed last Thursday by Gov. Schwarzenegger (R) of California will take effect on July 1, 2008. The law will make it illegal for any one age 15.5-17 to use a cell phone, laptop, pager, ultra mobile PC, or a PDA while driving.

The fine for a fist offence is $20 and $50 for each additional offence and IMHO that is way to small a penalty for any law to be effective.
