I spent the last Shabbat in Arad. It was really neat. Not only is Arad the hometown of Aubrey (one of the core teachers, but not my core teacher), but it is also in the middle of the desert. It was cool because on Shabbat we walked through the town and learned about how Arad gets water from the national water system and also from local reservoirs… and that is pretty much all of the interesting facts about Arad. Seriously. There is almost nothing to do in the whole town. Towards the end of Shabbat we talked with one the locals who said that the only thing to do in Arad is drink.

A Story
So one day I log on to facebook and see that I have a new message. It was from my friend Melanie (who is not in Israel), it said something like this, Nate I am bored please tell me a story. So I told her a story, it went something like this….
OK, so once upon a time there was this student named “Nate” and he went to Israel. When in Israel he had a test in a class of called “core” but then on the day of the test he found out he was sick. However the nurse still made him take the test because his fever was not high enough. Unfortunately he began to fall asleep within the first 20 min of the test and he was then allowed to go back to his room and he has to make up the test on Sunday. THE END.
Now if you were Melanie you would not be able to find out the conclusion, but you as a lucky reader of my blog (Melanie is also a lucky reader of my blog) get to find out what happened in the end of the story…
Then Sunday came around and Nate took his test. Thankfully he was not the only person making up the test, there was someone who did not do well on the test the first time and made up the test with him. After Nate was done with the test he asked the teacher to look at it and tell him if he did well, the teacher(who is not actually Nate’s normal teacher) did and he told Nate that he thought that Nate had done well. THE END
