I really hate it when developers change something when the old system worked just as well if not better than the new one. Mozilla did it when they got rid of the lock icon if FireFox and it looks like google just did when they moved the tabs in iGoogle.
The old iGoogle had tabs at the top of the page, like almost every other website.
However the new iGoogle has moved the tabs to the side.
If you are like me and want the old tabs back then follow these 3 easy steps…
1) Go to http://www.google.co.uk/ig?hl=en
2) Click the sign in button in the top right corner and if prompted sign in
3) Enjoy the old iGoogle tabs and update any bookmarks or homepage settings

I read about a site on John Chow today called http://www.43marks.com – its like Igoogle but better cuz you can add you own bookmarks and the bookmarks can be websites not just gadgets and RSS feeds although you can upload your favorite RSS feeds too. Its free and totally customizable. Plus you don’t have to login to see your bookmars and RSS feeds

While this works great, you lose all of the other features I enjoy like the enhanced gmail gadget. I want to keep the new iGoogle & change the layout of the damn tabs, enough people have been complaining that they have to make some sort of view option.

This trick just stopped working for me. Anyone know a good way to do it now?
I know there’s a Firefox extension, but I’d really prefer something as simple as /ig?hl=en.
