Dear Internet, I am writing you this letter to inform you that today I will be speaking at the TED event in San Francisco. I will be speaking around 7:30pm PST during the Pete Conrad Award speech. If you want to watch me live go to http://www.tedxsf.org. But you already knew that…being the Internet and [...]

As part of my summer internship I was given a G1 phone for the summer. Also, I recently was invited to the google voice beta. Naturally I wanted to use google voice on my G1 and thankfully google recently released a G1 app for voice. This guide will walk you through the setup process for [...]

I just made the source for the WebPage Downloader public, you can get it from http://naterocks.com/php-coding/webpage-downloader/.

Have you ever been online and wanted to download a webpage but didn’t want to use internet explorer’s or safari’s propritary formats? Well after about an hour of work I have created a solution… the WebPage Downloader. The WebPage Downloader will let you save files to your computer as DOC files and HTML files with or without [...]

So by now you may or may not have seen T-mobile’s commercial about Billshrink.com. Well, I decided to try the site out, I put in my info and after battling the site’s login system (I had to setup my account twice), the site recommended a new plan for me. This new plan was offered by [...]

I finally set up my sister Barbara’s blog. It is located at http://thebarbara.com/ .

Every fiscal year Wikimedia (the organization behind Wikipedia) produces an annual report that talks about what it has accomplished and how it spent money. This year’s report can be viewed here. Like most reports of this type, wikimedia’s report has nice graphics and is visually appealing. However, unlike most reports of this type, wikimedia uses the [...]

A fun past time of mine at the mall is to go into the Apple store, go to a few computers, open the web browsers and open myorangepc.com. Then I’ll stand outside the store with the people that I am with and watch the shopper’s reactions. It can be really funny. So anyways, last night [...]

Dispicable

Around passover MTV aired two very good holocaust ads. They are here and here. Both of the ads are good at making people think. It looks some anti-semites realised this too and modified parts of the ads to talk about the “holocaust” of the palestinians and to claim that the real holocaust never happened. I [...]

I really hate it when developers change something when the old system worked just as well if not better than the new one. Mozilla did it when they got rid of the lock icon if FireFox and it looks like google just did when they moved the tabs in iGoogle. The old iGoogle had tabs [...]

Now that google translate has Hebrew, I can’t help but feel that the other Jewish languages must feel left out. However here is a list of good resources for other Jewish languages. Yiddish There is a good Yiddish/English dictionary here. There is a Yiddish wikipedia here. Ladino There is a good Ladino dictionary here. Dzhidi Unfortunately [...]

For the longest time the best online Hebrew translator was milon.co.il. Unfortunaly milon.co.il can only translate one word at a time. However it looks like Google Translator now works for Hebrew!!! Let the homework cheating help commence.

I just finished installing google chrome. It is very good looking and seems to render pages correctly. However there are a few minor annoyances that I have encountered so far. The first is that google was not kidding when it said that this is a minimalist browser, there are not many menus and there is [...]

A few days ago I had a problem with gmail SMTP. Well as visitor Thad points out, it may have not been a problem with my computer after all, it seems like google forgot to renew their SSL certificate, which caused problems for people who were trying to send emails via google’s secure SMTP port.

The rumors are true, I am now writing for another blog… http://www.onteenstoday.com/. “Teens Today” is a blog about teens and teen trends, the blog is aimed at parents who want to better understand teens.

Do you think that Firefox is the best browser ever? Well the site firefox myths has some news for you!

While IE8 has some really neat features, I had a few problems with the beta. My main problem was how it rendered pages. Many pages that worked correctly on IE7 have extra spaces between lines and have messed up tables. Also my other problem was that when ever I tired to open a page from [...]

I just downloaded the beta of IE 8. Expect my initial reactions in a day or so.

The function below will look for numerically numbered images (or any other type of file) on any giving website. The function will echo weather or not it found anything, if it found something it will return the html image code(s) for it. /*When calling the function $istop should equal 1. $name should equal the name you [...]

In Sweden digital piracy is legal. Coincidently one of the biggest torrent trackers is a Swedish website, a torrent tracker is a website that links you to torrents that then tell your computer where to get a file from. So basically a torrent tracker does not actually have any pirated content on it, it just tells [...]
