Funny keyboard short cuts

Update: See the new version of this post!

Want to piss off your friends? Here is my list of the top five keyboard shortcuts to use on people. (these will only work on Windows computers)

1) Ctrl+Alt+Down Arrow — This key-command will rotate your monitor 180 degrees, it can be very funny to watch someone go to login to a computer and find the screen facing the wrong direction. Unfortunately this will only work on computers with Intel graphics chipsets.

2) left ALT+left SHIFT+PRINT SCREEN — This shortcut will turn on the high contrast visibility setting on any given computer. This is a good way to confuse and piss of people.

3) Alt+F4 — This command is very well know and won’t always work, but if you can find a newbie doing something important having their program close on them can be very entertaining.

4) Windows Key+M — If Alt+F4 fails this command may still be able to do a similar job, instead of closing the active program this command minimizes all open programs.

5) Windows Key+ D then Alt+F4 then Enter — This can be very funny and get you seriously hurt, but it will do a good job of shutting down any version of windows.

Happy Bill Gates Day!

I know what you must be thinking… “Is it really that time of year all ready!!?!?!?”. Well I have some news for you, IT IS! Yes that is right today is Bill Gates Day! And with today being Bill’s last day in office I thought of no better way to celebrate it than to put up a link to a contest where you can get a free Zune.

Also, here is a video that shows what Bill did on his historic last day…

WARNING

If you are ever on the Internet and come across a piece of software called “Vista OSX V3″, ”Vista OSX Transformation Pack”, or something like that then don’t, I repeat DO NOT install it. According to Microsoft (via windows defender) it comes with a Trojan virus. Also, it is not possible to remove it and it does NOT backup your system before it installs, it also corrupts your old system restore backups. It does look cool, but it is NOT worth the risk.

Internet Explorer 8 Beta Test, why I do not recommend it

IE8 logo

While IE8 has some really neat features, I had a few problems with the beta. My main problem was how it rendered pages. Many pages that worked correctly on IE7 have extra spaces between lines and have messed up tables. Also my other problem was that when ever I tired to open a page from my local zone it would open in the same window as the pages in my web zone and it would also cause my web zone window to crash.
