I just downloaded the beta of IE 8. Expect my initial reactions in a day or so.

Hi all, I have safely landed in Israel and will be there for the next FOUR months. More updates to come. (I have had almost no breaks since I landed).

Here is a picture of my computer in Israel to hold you over until I get time to put more up.

I just removed my last.fm infro from the “about me” page and replaced it with my zune social card! I’d like to see itunes release something like that.

Aren’t you tired of your mobile communications device (aka. your cell phone) not containing enough Harry Potter? Well if you receive the new harry potter DVD which is set to be released on December 11 then you may be able to put the latest Harry Potter movie on your device.

According to Jim Wuthrich, Warner senior VP of digital distribution, people who get the new DVD will be able to “buy the DVD and have the option of the digital copy”. Apparently the DVD will have two files, one to play like a normal DVD and the other users will be able to copy to their ipods, cell phones, zunes, and other media devices. However “In all likelihood, Warner is using one of the Windows Media formats for the additional content. If that’s the case, the files won’t be playable on computers running Linux or Mac OS X,”. But at least it is a step in the right direction and hopefully the other movie companies will catch on.

Here are 2 easy steps to making vista boot faster.

The first thing that you can do is to make your background a solid color. To do this:

1) right click on your desktop

2) select personalise and then desktop background

3) go to solid colors and pick a color

The other was to make vista boot a lot faster is to stop windows sidebar from starting with windows. To do this:

1) go to your sidebar and right click

2) select properties

3) uncheck the start when windows starts box
